First, I grabbed my notebook and jotted down some initial ideas. “Lordly trashcan”… that sounds like a king’s garbage bin, maybe? Or a really fancy, over-the-top one. “Radiant feldspar” – that’s gotta be some shiny, maybe magical, rock. I started sketching, just doodling really, a trashcan that looked kinda regal, with these glowing crystal-like things attached to it.
Then I thought, what if I made it digital? I opened up my go-to drawing program – nothing fancy, just something I’m comfortable with. I started with a basic trashcan shape. Just a cylinder, really. I played around with the colors, trying to find something that looked “lordly.” Ended up with a deep, almost metallic, purple.
Adding the Glow
- Next up, the “radiant feldspar.” I drew some jagged shapes, trying to make them look like crystals.
- I used the gradient tool a lot here, going from a bright, almost white center to a softer, pinkish hue at the edges.
- To make them look like they were actually glowing, I added some outer glow effects. Just a soft, diffused light around each “crystal.”
I stuck these crystal shapes onto the trashcan, arranging them in a way that felt kinda random, but also kinda balanced. I didn’t want it to look too perfect, you know?
Finally, I added a background. Just a simple gradient, darker at the bottom, lighter at the top, to give it a bit of depth. And that was it! My “lordly trashcan radiant feldspar” creation. It’s not going to win any awards, but it was a fun little exercise, taking those weird words and turning them into something visual.
