Alright, so I’ve been messing around with Loki in Marvel Snap, and let me tell you, it’s been a wild ride. I wanted to share my experiences, what I did, what worked, and what totally bombed.
Getting Started with the God of Mischief
First things first, I got Loki. That was step one. I’d heard all the hype, saw some crazy plays, and figured, “Why not?” I love a good shake-up in my decks.

My initial thought was, “Okay, I need cards that can take advantage of potentially cheaper cards.” So, I started throwing in things like Collector, to get a boost from all those new cards, and Quinjet, because, cheaper cards, right?
Experiment Time – The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly
- First try: I went all-in on the Collector/Quinjet synergy. I even threw in some card draw like Agent 13 and Cable, to really maximize getting stuff in my hand. It was… okay. Sometimes I’d get a killer combo and feel like a genius. Other times, I was stuck with a hand full of weird, cheap cards that didn’t do much.
- Second try: I toned down the card draw a bit and focused more on having some solid power on the board. Added in things like Devil Dinosaur and Strong Guy, trying to have some backup plans if the Loki plan went sideways. This was a little better. Less feast or famine.
- Third try:This is my recent deck and I focused a strong core of cards such as Angela, Biship.
My Current Loki Lineup – What’s Working (For Now)
Right now, I’m running a list that feels pretty good. I’ve found that it is important to balance with classic cards to make the deck *’s not perfect, and I’m still tweaking it, but here’s the gist:
- I kept Collector, and Quinjet. They can be good for surprise wins.
- Angela and Bishop are very good in this deck.
- Devil Dinosaur is still there. That big hand size can be clutch.
- I added America Chavez, just to help me draw what I need a little more consistently.
- Some disruption like Cosmo and Enchantress.
Lessons Learned
Playing Loki is like playing a mini-game within the game. It’s not always about winning the “normal” way. Sometimes, it’s about stealing your opponent’s best cards and turning their strategy against them.
The biggest thing I’ve learned is to be flexible. Don’t get too attached to one plan. Sometimes, you gotta ditch the Loki dream and just play solid cards.
And, most importantly, have fun! It’s a game, after all. Even when Loki gives you a hand full of 1-cost rocks, you just gotta laugh and roll with it. I am still learning, but this is my thought and experience.
