Okay, so I’ve been messing around with Jason in MultiVersus, trying to figure out a decent build. I’m no pro, but I like to think I’m getting the hang of it. Here’s what I’ve been doing:
Getting Started: Perks
First thing I did was look at perks. I mean, that’s where you really customize, right?

- Signature Perk: I went with “Sleeping Bag”. Seems pretty good for survivability, letting you recover and get back in the fight.
- Offense Perk: “That’s Flammable, Doc?” felt like a solid choice. Setting people on fire after hitting them with certain moves? Yes, please! More damage is always good.
- Defense Perk: Next up “Absorb ‘n’ Go”. Gaining a speed boost and projectile block after dodging an enemy.
- Utility Perk: I picked “Slippery When Feared”. This is awesome. Extra speed is good in general.
Playing the Build: My Strategy
So, with those perks equipped, here’s how I’ve been playing:
I start by trying to be aggressive. Jason’s got some strong attacks, so I get in close and start swinging. I use his axe a lot, especially the down attacks. Those can really knock people around.
I focus on applying that fear debuff whenever I can. It’s key to making the most of “Slippery When Feared.” This means I’m landing more hits and staying mobile.
I try to keep an eye on my sleeping bag cooldown. Knowing when I can pop that for a quick heal is crucial. It’s saved me a few times, that’s for sure.
When I get a chance, I charge up those heavy attacks. They’re slow, but if they connect, it’s big damage, especially with that fire perk.
If I get knocked off the stage, I use Jason’s teleport to get back. It’s a bit predictable, so I try to mix it up with jumps and dodges to avoid getting punished.

My Results (So Far)
Honestly, it’s been a mixed bag. Some games, I feel unstoppable. I’m landing hits, setting people on fire, and tanking damage like a boss. Other games, I get completely wrecked. Faster characters can be a real pain.
I’m still learning the matchups. Like, I know I need to play differently against a Harley Quinn than I do against a Superman. It’s all about adapting.
But overall, I’m having fun with this build. It feels pretty strong, and it’s satisfying to land those big hits. I’m definitely going to keep playing with it and see if I can refine it even more. Maybe I’ll even try out some different perks down the line.
