Alright, so I saw this question popping up everywhere: “How long is Hades 2?” I got curious, grabbed the game, and decided to track my own playtime. Here’s how it went down.
First Steps and Early Runs
I booted up the game, got through the initial tutorial stuff – you know, learning the moves, getting a feel for Melinoë. My first few runs? I was getting smashed. I think I spent like, 2-3 hours just dying repeatedly, barely making it past the first few areas.

Getting the Hang of It
After a while, things started to click. I started experimenting with different boons, figuring out which weapons I liked, and learning the enemy patterns. This is where a big chunk of time went. Probably another 5-7 hours of gradually improving, reaching new biomes, and unlocking some of the permanent upgrades.
Pushing Towards the “End”
- I hit a wall around the mid-game. The difficulty ramped up, and I had to really focus on my builds and strategies.
- This part was a mix of frustration and excitement. Some runs felt amazing, others were total disasters.
- I estimate I spent a good 10-15 hours in this phase, just grinding and learning.
The “Ending” and Beyond
So, I finally “beat” the game. And the quotation is that I beat Chronos. That took me, I’d say, around 25-30 hours total.
I found that is not the true ending and that Hades 2 is currently in early access.
I need to beat Chronos like ten times to unlock the true ending.
I’ve already sunk another 20 hours into it with only six times finished!
I will keep updating my progress here!
