Alright, so I wanted to get into Gray Zone Warfare, and like everyone else, I was totally lost on where to find those damn LZs. I spent a good few hours just wandering around, getting sniped, and generally feeling like a noob. So, I decided to buckle down and actually figure this out, and now I’m gonna share what I learned so you don’t have to suffer like I did.
First Attempts – Total Fail
First, I just jumped in blind. Big mistake. I figured, “Hey, it’s a tactical shooter, I’ll just explore and find them.” Nope. I ran around like a headless chicken, got ambushed by other players, and basically accomplished nothing. I even tried following some YouTube videos, but most of them were either outdated or just plain confusing.

Getting Serious – Mapping it Out
After that initial frustration, I realized I needed a better strategy. I started taking notes. Every time I stumbled upon an LZ, I’d mark it down. I even started sketching out a rough map on a piece of paper (yeah, old school, I know). This helped a bit, but it was still pretty messy.
Using In-Game Tools (Finally!)
Then it hit me – I should be using the in-game map! I spent time just hovering all the map to look for labels, and comparing it with my hand-draw map, this start making sense.
Compiling My Intel
I can make a list myself now, there are some common LZs:
- YBL1 – Usually pretty hot, lots of players.
- India 1,2 – Not as crowded, good for a quick in and out.
- Other points – I am not sure, still learning.
Putting it All Together
So, after all that trial and error, I’ve got a pretty good handle on the LZ locations. Now, I used all I learned to quickly go to the points.
It’s still a work in progress, and I’m sure I’ll discover more as I play. But for now, this method is working way better than my initial “run around and hope for the best” strategy. Hope this helps some of you other newbies out there!
