Alright, so I was stuck on this puzzle in Baldur’s Gate 3 for like, an hour. It’s the one with the stone chairs, you know, in the Underdark? I was running around, clicking on everything, trying to figure out what to do. I even tried sitting in all the chairs myself, in different orders. Nothing!
My Frustration Mounts
I was starting to get really frustrated. I thought maybe my game was bugged or something. I went and I searched online for “bg3 stone chair,” and it just pulled up a bunch of generic stuff about chairs, or unrelated quests. No help at all.

The “Aha!” Moment
Then, I decided to add “click” to my search. So I typed in “bg3 stone chair click”. Bang! Found a forum thread where some people are talking about this very puzzle.
Turns out, I missed something totally obvious. I did the following:
- Explored: I re-explored the area. I was so focused on the chairs themselves I’d missed a detail.
- Found: I Found a mushroom circle that I totally missed.
- Clicked: I Clicked the right spot on the broken chair. Not the chair itself.
- Solved: Boom! Puzzle solved.
Basically, there’s one specific broken chair, and you have to click not on chair parts, just the right spot on it. I felt so dumb, but also relieved. I probably walked past it like, ten times!
So yeah, if you’re stuck on the stone chair puzzle, double-check for that broken chair and make sure you are clicking the right part. Don’t be like me and waste an hour pulling your hair out! Hope this helps somebody.
