Okay, so I was super hyped to jump into Wuthering Waves, right? I pre-downloaded it through the Epic Games Launcher, thinking I’d be all set to go when it launched. But nope, that was not the case.
The Problem Started
When the launch time hit, I clicked that “Play” button in the Epic Games Launcher, and… nothing. Well, not exactly nothing. The button changed to “Running,” but the game itself? Nowhere to be seen. I waited, thinking maybe it was just a slow start. Still nothing.

Troubleshooting Attempts
First thing I did was the classic “turn it off and on again.” I restarted the Epic Games Launcher. No change. Then, I restarted my whole computer. Still no Wuthering Waves.
Next, I figured maybe there was a problem with the installation. So, I went into the Epic Games Launcher and found the “Verify” option for Wuthering Waves. I clicked that, it did its thing, and… still no luck. The game just wouldn’t start.
- Restarted Epic Games Launcher.
- Restarted my computer.
- Verified the game files.
I was getting pretty frustrated at this point. After that, I tried running Epic Games Launcher as administrator. That method does work, but it is time consuming.
The Simple Fix
Finally, I found that I can find the wuthering waves game folder, and lauch the game by click the luncher in game folder directly, It works!
I don’t know what is wrong with Epic Games, so I choose play this game by opening the game launcher, I can start enjoy the game now.
