Okay, so I wanted to mess around with the Kinesis button in the Dead Space Remake. I’d seen some videos, and it looked pretty cool to, like, grab stuff and fling it at enemies. Figured I’d give it a shot myself.
First, I started a new game, just to make sure I had a clean slate. Didn’t want any weird upgrades messing with things. I played through the opening bit until I got to the part where they introduce Kinesis. You know, the part where you gotta move that big platform to get across the gap.
So, I got to that section. I remembered the tutorial telling me to hold down the aim button (right mouse button for me) and then hit the Kinesis button (F key, by default). I tried it out, and whoosh! The platform moved. Pretty neat, huh?
Then I thought, “Okay, let’s try this on something smaller.” I spotted some of those crates lying around. Aimed at one, pressed F, and Isaac grabbed it. The crate just kinda floated in front of me. I moved my mouse around, and the crate followed. Nice!
- Aim (Hold Right Mouse Button)
- Activate Kinesis(Press ‘F’)
- Move it around(Mouse)
- Fire(Left Mouse Button)
Time for the fun part. I saw a Necromorph lumbering towards me. I still had that crate floating. I aimed at the ugly sucker, and then I hit the fire button (left mouse button). The crate shot forward like a rocket! Smashed right into the Necromorph and sent it flying. It didn’t kill it, but it definitely knocked it back.
I spent the next little while just practicing. Grabbing crates, shelves, those explosive canisters… anything that wasn’t nailed down, really. I got pretty good at aiming and launching stuff. It’s surprisingly satisfying to chuck a heavy object at a Necromorph and watch it get stunned.
My Kinesis Takeaway
It became my new favorite tactic. Why waste ammo when you can just hurl debris at the enemies? Saved me a bunch of bullets, and it was way more entertaining. I even managed to take down a few Necromorphs with just well-aimed throws. Resourceful, right?
So, yeah, that’s my little adventure with the Kinesis button in the Dead Space Remake. Definitely worth experimenting with. It’s not just for moving platforms; it’s a whole new way to deal with those creepy monsters!
