Okay, so I’ve been playing a ton of Armored Core 6, and like any good mech nerd, I wanted to personalize things a bit. I decided to tackle custom icons first. It seemed simple enough, right? Wrong! But, after some trial and error, I figured it out, so I figured, why not share my pain, I mean, process with everyone?
The Initial Idea
I wanted my emblem to truly represent me,I wanted it to pop, to look awesome. I’m no artist, But I can manage the basic editing operations.

The First Steps (and Missteps)
First, I thought, “Okay, I’ll just whip up a design using the in-game editor.” Now, the in-game editor is pretty robust, with layers and shapes and all that. I spend some time to find the basic shapes, and put them together.
I managed to cobble together something kinda cool using the shapes and layers, I was pretty proud of my initial creation, It was shaping up to be decent.
Getting It to Work
Next up, the important step, I went into the game’s settings, clicked around a bit, finally got the final design, and make it shows at the right place!
The Final Result (and Some Pride)
And there you have it! My custom icon, proudly displayed. It’s not perfect, but it’s mine, and it makes blowing up other mechs just a little bit sweeter.
So, yeah, that’s my custom icon journey in Armored Core 6. It was a bit of a process, lots of fiddling around, but totally worth it in the end. Hopefully, this little write-up helps someone else avoid some of the initial bumps I hit. Go forth and personalize those mechs!
