Today, I wanted to talk about something that’s been driving me nuts in Apex Legends: the dreaded “Persistence Transfer Canceled” error. I’ve been encountering this issue a lot lately, and it’s been a real pain in the neck. It kicks you out of a match, and then, when you try to get back in, it just happens again a few seconds later. Super annoying, right?
So, here’s how it all went down. I hopped on Apex, ready for some action. I started searching for a match, like I always do. The game found one, and I was all set to jump in. But then, bam! Right as I was about to enter the game, this error message popped up: “Disconnect: Persistence Transfer Canceled.”

I was like, “What the heck?” I tried to reconnect, but a few seconds later, it happened again. And again. And again. It was like being stuck in a loop, it is so frustrating. I couldn’t even play the game!
Here’s what I tried:
- Restarting the game: This is usually my first move when something goes wrong. I completely closed Apex Legends and launched it again. Nope, didn’t work. The error was still there, staring back at me.
- Checking my internet connection: Maybe it was my internet acting up, I thought. I checked my connection, restarted my router, the whole nine yards. Everything seemed fine on my end, but the error kept showing up in the game.
- Switching servers: I read somewhere that switching servers might fix some “disconnect persistence” errors. So, I gave it a shot. I switched to a different server, hoping for the best. But nope, still no luck.
I was starting to get really frustrated. I mean, I just wanted to play some Apex! I did some digging online, and it seems like a lot of other players are having the same issue. Some folks are saying it started happening after a recent update.
I even saw that the Apex team is investigating the issue, so at least they’re aware of it. Hopefully, they’ll roll out a fix soon. It’s a real bummer because I was having a blast with the game before this error started showing up.
So, did I find a solution?
Sadly, no. None of the things I tried worked. But I’m not giving up! I’ll keep an eye out for any updates from the developers, and if I find a fix, I’ll definitely share it here. If you guys are dealing with this too, let me know in the comments! Maybe we can figure this out together. It’s always better to tackle these annoying tech issues as a team, right?
