Today, I wanted to try out a new bot lane combo I saw a lot of people talking about online – Lulu and some other champion. Apparently, they’re supposed to be a really strong pair. I’m not the best at this game, but hey, I figured, why not give it a shot?
So, I hopped into a game, picked Lulu, and waited for my partner to pick their champ. Turns out, they went with some character named Xayah. I’d seen this pick a few times and remember some people mentioning online that she is often played with a character named Rakan. Whatever, I’m here to play Lulu.

Getting Started
The game started, and I immediately noticed that I didn’t know what I was doing with Lulu. I mostly just tried to stay back and throw out those little sparkly things at the enemy. I think they’re called “glitterlance” or something? My Xayah partner seemed to know what they were doing, though. They were running around, throwing feathers everywhere, and occasionally yelling about something called “blades.”
- First Blood! – Not us. The enemy team got it. Okay, no big deal, we can come back from this.
- Level 6 – I finally got my ultimate ability. It’s called “Wild Growth,” and it makes your teammate super big and knocks enemies up. It’s pretty cool, I guess.
Mid Game Mayhem
We started grouping up with our team for some fights around the map. I still wasn’t totally sure what my role was, but I tried my best to shield my teammates and use that “Wild Growth” thing whenever a fight broke out. It seemed to help sometimes, but other times it just made things more chaotic.
I kept trying to pair up with my Xayah partner because, you know, that’s what I was supposed to do. But they were always off doing their own thing, chasing enemies across the map or something. I guess that’s just how Xayah players are.
Late Game Letdown
We made it to the late game, and things were not going well. We lost a couple of big teamfights, and the enemy team started pushing into our base. I tried my best to keep everyone alive, but it wasn’t enough. Our nexus exploded, and we lost the game.
Final Thoughts
Well, that was a bit of a letdown. I’m not sure if Lulu and Xayah are actually a good combo, or if I just played it poorly. Maybe I need more practice, or maybe I should try a different support champion. I mean all the people online talked about how great Rakan and Xayah are together. Oh well, there’s always next time. I’m going to go watch some videos or something to figure out what I did wrong. Or maybe I’ll just play a different game entirely. We’ll see.
