Okay, so I saw this picture of Ryan Garcia with a new hand tattoo, and I thought, “That’s pretty cool. I kinda want one too.” I’ve always liked tattoos, but I’ve never gotten one myself. So, I decided to try and replicate it, but without the permanence, you know?
Getting Started
First, I needed a good look at Garcia’s tattoo. I pulled up some photos online. It’s this lion with a crown, pretty detailed. I grabbed a piece of paper and a pencil and started sketching.
The Sketching Part
- I started with the basic outline of the lion’s head.
- Then, I tried to fill in the details of the mane. Let me tell you, drawing a lion’s mane is no joke!
- Next, I moved on to the crown. Simple shapes, but getting the proportions right was a little tricky.
- After a few erases and redraws, I had something that resembled Garcia’s tattoo. Not perfect, but good enough for a temporary test.
From Paper to Skin
Now, how to get this onto my hand? I remembered those temporary tattoo papers you can print on. I bought a pack online, printed my lion design, and followed the instructions to apply it. It was surprisingly easy! Just wet the back, press it on, and peel off the paper.
The Result
And there it was, a lion with a crown on my hand! It looked kinda badass, not gonna lie. It wasn’t as sharp as a real tattoo, obviously, but it gave me a good idea of what it would be like to have something like that permanently. I wore it around for a few days, showing it off to my friends. They thought it was cool, too.
Final Thoughts
This little experiment was fun! It satisfied my curiosity about having a hand tattoo without any commitment. I might actually consider getting a real one someday, but for now, I’m happy with my temporary lion king.
