Okay, so I’ve been grinding away at Elden Ring’s DLC, Shadow of the Erdtree, and let me tell you, it’s been a wild ride. One thing that really stumped me for a while was how to get to the second phase of the Divine Beast Dancing Lion fight. I knew it had something to do with those pesky elemental pots, but figuring out the exact sequence was a real pain.
First, I spent hours just trying to survive the first phase. This boss is no joke, constantly switching between different elements and keeping you on your toes. I died, like, a million times, just learning its patterns. Then there’s the part where it starts tossing those elemental pots around. I tried throwing them back, dodging them, everything I could think of, but nothing seemed to trigger the second phase.
After what felt like an eternity, I finally started to piece things together. I noticed the boss uses four types of pots. And they are all about different elements like: fire, ice, lightning, and even some crazy wind attacks. I noticed that the second time when the boss start throw the elemental pots, and the sequence is like wind pot, ice pot, and then lightning pot. You know what? The boss will jump very high and try to smash you! But the good thing is we can see which element the boss will going to use, and just throw the right pot back!
- Wind Pot: When you see the boss is going to use wind attack, throw the wind pot to him, I used it to counter the wind attacks, and it seemed to interrupt the boss’s flow.
- Ice Pot: Next, I saved my ice pots for when it started using ice attacks. That seemed to do the trick and stagger it.
- Lightning Pot: Finally, I used the lightning pots against its lightning attacks. And guess what happened after I successfully use three pots to the boss’ attack? The second phase begin!
Getting to the second phase of this fight was a huge relief. It felt like I had finally cracked the code. But that’s not the end, after another hundred times of dying, I finally beat the boss! The most important thing is I had so much fun during these fights. Hope my experience can help you guys who are still struggling with this boss, good luck!
