So, I’ve been diving into this new shooter, XDefiant, and let me tell you, it’s been a wild ride. One thing I really wanted to mess around with was the private match feature. I mean, who doesn’t love getting a bunch of buddies together and setting up their own games, right?
First, I needed to figure out how to even access the private match option. It wasn’t super obvious at first. I had to poke around the main menu, and it is kinda hiding in the “Play” section. When I clicked through the menus, I eventually found it tucked away under a “Private Match” tab. Simple enough once you know where to look, I guess.
Setting up the match was the fun part. I got to be the boss for once! I could pick from any of the maps they had available. And they got a decent selection there. I also started messing with the different game modes. It’s pretty cool because I could choose from modes like Domination, Occupy, and a few others. It’s a nice change of pace to pick the specific game type you wanna play.
I also tried inviting my friends to play. That was pretty easy too. I could send invites to anyone on my Ubisoft friends list. One of my buddies, “NotBadK3ch,” joined up right away. I also learned that I could invite others by their username. Also, someone called “gumipoper” joined us. We tried a few matches together. It was kinda fun.
We spent a good chunk of time just messing around with different settings. We were like kids in a candy store, tweaking everything.
- First we switched up the maps. It was fun to try different strategies on different maps.
- Then we started playing with the time limits and score limits.
- And I gotta say, some of the custom games we came up with were way more fun than the regular matchmaking.
Honestly, playing XDefiant private matches has been a blast. It’s awesome to have that level of control over the game and just goof around with friends. I think it’s a feature that more shooters should have, to be honest. Some folks online have been saying they want private matches to come to XDefiant, and I totally get it now. The developers should definitely add this as soon as possible. There are already tournaments going on, and private matches would make those a lot smoother, I think. Anyways, I just wanted to share my experience with it. If you’re playing XDefiant, you gotta give it a try!
