Okay, so, today I messed around with this thing called “zzz check-in with scratch card”. Sounds kinda weird, right? But it’s actually pretty neat. It all started when I was browsing some random stuff online, you know, just killing time. I stumbled upon this community, I think it was a modding community for a game called Zenless Zone Zero. Never played it, but the name sounded cool. This led me down a rabbit hole of random internet stuff.
I ended up reading about the weather somewhere, how it was gonna rain a quarter of an inch. I also got sidetracked reading about some election stuff for voters in Georgia. I think it was about how no candidate was winning or something. They mentioned the “Secretary of State” a lot, which got me thinking about how the government works.
Then, somehow, I ended up reading about genetic disorders. One of them was called aneuploidy, where you don’t have the usual 46 chromosomes. It said if you have 47, it’s called trisomy. Pretty heavy stuff, right? It’s crazy what you can find when you’re just randomly clicking around. I tried to piece all that together and connect it to the “zzz check-in with scratch card” thing. It took a lot of effort, but I think I have figured it out.
So, I started experimenting. First, I made a simple scratch card design. I had to draw out some areas on the screen, kind of like those lottery tickets you scratch off to see if you won. I made a few different sections.
- Section 1: I filled this one with just a bunch of “Z”s. You know, like “zzz” for sleeping.
- Section 2: This was a bit trickier. I added a little graphic that looked like a calendar. Each day was a little box that could be scratched off. I tried to implement some simple logic for each day, just something basic.
- Section 3: Here, I wanted to see if I could add some simple text that would reveal itself after scratching. Like, maybe a hidden message or something.
After setting all that up, I started “scratching.” Well, not really scratching, since it was all digital. But you get the idea. As I “scratched” off the areas, different things happened. The “Z” section was pretty boring, it just revealed more “Z”s underneath.
The calendar section was more interesting. Each day I scratched off would do something different. For example, one day might reveal a little animation, and another day might just show a number. I tried to make each day unique, like a little surprise. It felt like a real scratch-and-win game, but more personalized.
The final section with the hidden text worked pretty well, too. I wrote a short message, and as I scratched the area, the words slowly became visible. I thought that was pretty cool.
I spent hours messing around with this. I tried different designs, added more complex logic, and generally just experimented with it. It was a fun little project, and I think it has a lot of potential. It was a whole day of trial and error, but I finally got it working the way I wanted. It’s not perfect, but it’s a good start. I think I might try to refine it more later, maybe add some more features. I even imagine I can make this into a daily check-in thing, with a simple reward or message each day. Overall, it was a fun day of experimenting, and I think I learned a lot about this whole “scratch card” concept. It’s definitely something I want to explore more in the future!
