Okay, so, I was digging around on the internet the other day, just goofing off, you know? And I stumbled onto this whole thing about Vince McMahon and Sable. Man, talk about a blast from the past! I used to watch wrestling back in the day, and Sable, well, she was something else.
So I started poking around, trying to piece together what I could remember and what the internet was telling me. Apparently, there was some big legal scuffle between Vince and Sable. Something about the rights to the name “Sable.”
I dug deeper and found out they filed a countersuit or something, both of them, and then they ended up settling out of court in, like, August of ’99. She went back to using her real name after that.
- Found some stuff about Sable doing an interview with Playboy.
- Remembered hearing somewhere that Netflix was making some kind of show about Vince McMahon, and I guess one of the episodes is supposed to be about Sable. That got me curious.
- Started looking into Sable’s life before she even got into wrestling.
So, I spent a good chunk of the afternoon just reading and watching old clips. It’s wild to think about how big wrestling was back then and how much has changed.
The Deep Dive
I kept digging. I was seriously down the rabbit hole by this point. Found some old forum posts, some ancient website archives, you name it. My browser history was a mess, but I was determined. I even stumbled upon some old interviews with Sable. It was kind of like time traveling.
My whole evening was basically consumed by this. I even forgot to eat dinner! But it was a fun little trip down memory lane. Who knew I still cared about this stuff?
Anyway, that’s my story of how I wasted an entire evening on Vince McMahon and Sable. Maybe I’ll do another deep dive on some other random topic tomorrow. You never know what you’ll find on the internet!
