So, yesterday, I dived into this “Fallout London” thing. Let me tell you, it was a bit of a head-scratcher at first. My main goal? Get into that darn Bank of England vault. Turns out, you need four keys and access cards. Yeah, four! Sounds like a lot, but they’re not actually that hard to find.
First things first, I poked around online to get a feel for where these keys might be hiding. I found a few forum posts talking about them. Seems like there’s a bunch of folks who’ve already braved this quest. Most of the guides mentioned that these keys are given by some NPCs during conversations. That’s cool, I guess. But I wanted to see if I could figure it out on my own first.
I started playing, running around, getting a feel for the lay of the land. The game itself is pretty cool, I gotta say. The London setting is a nice change of pace. Anyway, I stumbled upon this hallway, you know, the usual post-apocalyptic kind. At the end of it, there was this creepy room filled with smoke. And get this, a dead body hanging from the ceiling! Creepy, right? But I’m a seasoned wastelander, so I wasn’t too fazed.
- First key: Found at the end of the hall where a dead body is hanged.
Nearby, I found a door leading to a staircase. Up I went, to the second floor. I followed the hallway upstairs, and bam! There they were, the keys, just hanging out at the end of the hallway. It was almost too easy.
Now, I also found out that there’s a way to use console commands to get these keys. Not really my style, though. I like the thrill of the hunt, you know? But for those who are impatient, I guess that’s an option.
How to start the game?
One thing that tripped me up a bit was actually starting the game. It’s not as straightforward as just clicking “play”. I had to go to the install directory and start it from the “F4SE_*”. Apparently, you can also copy that file and create a shortcut on your desktop. That’s what I did, makes things a bit easier.
So, yeah, that’s my progress so far. I’ve got the first set of keys, and I’m feeling pretty good about cracking this vault. I’ll keep you guys updated on my adventure. It’s gonna be a wild ride!
