Okay, so yesterday I was just hanging out, scrolling through my usual stuff online, and I thought, “Why not dive into something about Joe Rogan and his buddies?” I mean, I’ve heard a ton about him, good and bad, so I figured it was time to see what the fuss was all about.
First off, I started with some basic searches. Just typed in “Joe Rogan friends” and boom, a whole bunch of stuff popped up. I saw a mix of things. Some people were like, “Joe’s not funny at all,” which, you know, fair enough. Humor’s subjective, right? But then others were saying things like, “He’s so calm and measured in his show,” which I guess is a different side of him.
I spent a good chunk of my afternoon just reading through forums and articles. One thing that caught my eye was how people were talking about his friends. Apparently, they are also quite popular and have their own styles. I saw names like Mark Normand and Shane Gillis mentioned a lot. I guess being close to Joe kind of puts you in the spotlight too. I decided to listen to their shows or podcasts. Man! Each one have their own style and I really like Shane Gillis, he is so funny and full of energy!
Then I went down the rabbit hole of watching clips of his podcast, The Joe Rogan Experience. There was this one clip from the show Flagrant where someone said they didn’t think the show would work. It’s wild to think about that now, considering how huge it is.
- I watched a few episodes of his podcast, just to get a feel for it. It’s pretty chill, to be honest. Just a lot of talking, which I like.
- I checked out some stand-up specials from his friends, like Mark Normand and Shane Gillis. It’s interesting to see how their styles compare to Joe’s.
- I even tried to find that Flagrant episode where they talk about Joe’s podcast not working out. It was a fun little hunt!
Wrap-Up
By the end of the day, I felt like I had a better grasp of who Joe Rogan is, at least in the public eye. He’s got his fans, he’s got his critics, and he’s got a bunch of friends who are also making waves. It was a pretty interesting dive into that world. Definitely not what I expected when I started, but hey, that’s the internet for you.
