Okay, so I’ve been grinding a ton of MLB The Show 23 lately, and let me tell you, figuring out the best pitching style is a real game-changer. I mean, who wants to be stuck on the mound giving up home runs all day, right?
At first, I was totally lost with all the different pitching interfaces. There are like five of them! Classic, Meter, Pulse, Pure Analog, and Pinpoint. I tried a few out, but nothing felt quite right. Classic was way too simple, and I felt like I had zero control over my pitches. The others were just confusing and I couldn’t get the hang of them.
Then I remembered something I read online about the Pinpoint pitching style. Apparently, it’s the go-to for a lot of serious players, and for good reason. It’s all about tracing lines with the right analog stick. Sounds weird, I know, but once you get the hang of it, it’s pretty awesome.
So, I decided to dive in and really give Pinpoint a shot. I went into practice mode and started throwing pitches, trying to get used to the whole line-tracing thing. It was tough at first, I’m not gonna lie. My lines were all over the place, and my pitches were ending up in the dirt or way outside the strike zone.
But I stuck with it. I practiced and practiced, and slowly but surely, I started to get a feel for it. I learned how to control my speed and accuracy by following the lines precisely. It felt like I had so much more control over my pitches. I could place the ball exactly where I wanted it, most of the time.
Once I felt a little more confident, I took my new skills online. Let me tell you, the difference was night and day. I was striking out batters left and right, and my ERA was looking pretty sweet. It felt amazing to finally have a pitching style that worked for me.
Here’s the deal with Pinpoint Pitching:
- It’s tricky to learn: You’ve really got to put in the practice time to get good at it.
- It’s all about precision: Tracing those lines accurately is key.
- It gives you tons of control: You can put the ball exactly where you want it.
If you’re serious about improving your pitching game in MLB The Show 23, I highly recommend giving Pinpoint a try. It might take some time to master, but trust me, it’s worth the effort. You’ll be dominating the mound in no time!
It is easily the best pitching setting for my skill. Highly recommend this one!
