OK, so let’s talk about how I finally tracked down all those sunchildren in Genshin Impact. You know, those ghost kids hanging around Evernight Temple? Yeah, those ones. It wasn’t some big, fancy quest or anything, but I was determined to find them all. Plus, who can say no to some extra Primogems, right?
First off, I had just finished up that “The Phaethons’ Syrtos” world quest. That’s when I started noticing these little ghostly figures around the temple. I’m a bit of a completionist, so I decided I had to find every single one of them. I mean, they’re just kids right? It’s not like they’re some big boss to fight.
I started by just running around Evernight Temple, exploring every nook and cranny. I figured they had to be hiding somewhere obvious, right? I mean, they’re kids, how good could they be at hiding? Well, I was kind of wrong. Some of them were pretty well hidden, to be honest.
Found the secret room
Then I remembered someone online mentioning something about a secret room. So, I switched to Whitenight – you gotta do that first, otherwise, the door won’t even show up. And there it was! This hidden door that led to a secret room. But, of course, it was locked. Turns out, I had to solve this puzzle with three of those Triangular Mechanisms. You know, the ones you hit to move stuff around?
These Mechanisms, they were linked to these three Hanging Lanterns. So I messed around with them, moving the Lanterns, and bam! The door to the secret room unlocked. That’s where I found a bunch of those ghost kids. They were all just chilling in there.
I also bumped into a few other NPCs along the way, like Kaji over in Fort Fujitou. He gave me that whole “Orobashi’s Legacy” questline. That was a whole other thing, but it was pretty cool. And then there was Varsha, hanging out near Vanarana. I had to help her with some “Giving Flowers” quest. Everyone seems to need my help in this game.
Finally done!
Anyway, after all that exploring, puzzle-solving, and helping out random people, I finally found all seven of those ghost kids. It was a bit of a detour, but hey, I got my Primogems, and I got to see all those hidden spots in Evernight Temple.
