Okay, so, the 4.7 Abyss, right? Let me tell you, it was a wild ride. I jumped in, thinking, “Yeah, I got this,” but boy, was I in for a surprise. This wasn’t just any other Abyss run; it felt like they turned the difficulty up to eleven. I had to really think about my team comps and strategy.
First Half – Taser Team
For the first half, I went with a taser team. It’s a classic for a reason – you’ve got your Electro characters dishing out constant damage and reactions. I picked characters who could apply Electro quickly and reliably. The goal here was simple: keep the reactions going and control the crowd. Those small mobs can be a real pain if you let them group up, so I made sure to spread them out and take them down fast.
- Start: Dived straight into the first chamber, full of energy.
- Engage: Used my main Electro DPS to kick things off, then swapped to my support to apply Hydro.
- React: Boom! Electro-Charged everywhere. Kept switching between characters to maintain the status effects.
- Control: My Anemo character grouped up those pesky smaller enemies, making it easier to hit them all at once.
It took a few tries to get the rhythm right, but once I did, it was smooth sailing. The key was not letting up on the pressure. Continuous damage and reactions kept the enemies staggered and manageable. Also I found some mobs from Inazuma, they were not friendly.
Second Half – Melt Ganyu
Now, the second half was where things got really interesting. I decided to go with a Melt Ganyu setup. Why? Because when you get that Melt reaction just right, the damage numbers are insane. It’s a bit more technical than the taser team, but oh boy, is it satisfying when it works.
- Setup: Started by applying Pyro to the enemies. My Pyro support is perfect for this, with consistent application.
- Switch: Quickly swapped to Ganyu and charged up those Frostflake Arrows.
- Melt: Aim, shoot, and watch the magic happen. That Melt reaction is something else.
- Repeat: Kept the Pyro status up and continued with Ganyu’s charged shots. Timing is crucial here.
The biggest challenge was the Mirror Maiden on floor 12. Man, she’s tanky! But with careful play, keeping the Melt reactions going, I managed to take her down. It was tough, I won’t lie. There were moments I thought I wouldn’t make it, but I pushed through. I found that the floors 11 and 12 were harder than before.
In the end, I cleared the Abyss, but it wasn’t easy. This 4.7 version really tested my skills and game knowledge. I had to adapt, try different strategies, and really focus on my rotations and reactions. It was a grind, but a fun one. And hey, that sense of accomplishment when you finally clear it? Totally worth it.
So, that’s my story of tackling the 4.7 Abyss. It was a rollercoaster of emotions, but I came out on top. Hopefully, my experience can give you some ideas or at least a bit of motivation to try it out yourself. Good luck, and may your reactions always be in your favor!
